Do I need a permit for gas work in Calgary?
Yes, for any new gas line installation or modification. We handle the application and book the inspection as part of the job.
Can you run a gas line to my BBQ?
Yes, and it is one of the most common jobs we get asked for. It means never running out of propane in the middle of cooking again.
What should I do if I smell gas?
Leave the building immediately, do not touch any light switches, and call ATCO Gas at 1-800-511-3447 and the fire department from outside. Once the situation is cleared, call us to inspect and repair.
Is unlicensed gas work legal in Alberta?
No. Gas work must be performed by a certified gasfitter. It is both a legal requirement and an insurance one.
Can you convert a BBQ from propane to natural gas?
Usually yes, depending on the appliance. We confirm it during the quote.
